Data Science & ML Team Lead
We are looking for top-class specialists in the field of advanced analytics and AI to join our team of specialists. The newly created team of nearly 30 people will provide services for a client who is one of the largest financial institutions in Saudi Arabia. The aim of the project is to move from classical DS/ML to next-generation extra-generative AI, chatbot, conversational AI, reinforcement learning, and blockchain.

You will be responsible for supporting our team in:
- in-depth understanding of Enterprise Business Intelligence and Reporting principles;
- knowledge of Analytics, Data Mining techniques and tools, Database Management, Business and Domain knowledge;
- knowledge of Analytics and Data Science, know how to optimize the usage of different types of predictive models;
- strong understanding of relational database structures, theories, principles and practices. Experience and facility in using Statistical and Data Science tools and languages;
- developing, implementing and maintaining Data mining models;
- participating in enhancing the adoption of Data mining initiatives in the Bank;
- providing guidance and consultancy on using Analytical and Data mining tools;
- conducting statistical analysis of the Customer Insight Solution (CIS) database and insights in response to identified analytic projects;
- recommending improvements to departmental policy and directing the implementation of procedures and controls covering all areas of EBIA activity;
- supervising the day-to-day activities of the Modelling, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence Department;
- collaborating and communicating with the EBIA team and business;
- ensures compliance with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across the department;
- participating with change management in assessing the impact of introducing changes to people, processes, and systems;
- managing the team processes.
It is vital that you have:
- university degree in Statistics/Computational Linguistics/Computer Science or a familiar field;
- 6-8 years of relevant experience;
- fluent in English in writing and speech;
- required work on site in Saudi Arabia for a minimum of 3 weeks/month;
- managerial, Team Development skills;
- understanding the analytical applications development;
- knowledge of the operations, products and services of banks and financial institutions;
- in-depth knowledge of Oracle EDW data model for Banking and financial institutions;
- in-depth understanding of Enterprise Business Intelligence and Reporting principles;
- knowledge of Analytics, Data Mining techniques and tools, Database Management, Business and Domain knowledge.;
- knowledge of Analytics and Data Science, know how to optimize the usage of different types of predictive models;
- strong understanding of relational database structures, theories, principles and practices. Experience and facility in using Statistical and Data Science tools and languages.
